Young Blogger Interviews: Tamal Anwar from Blogkori

Today, i am creating  a new category called interviews. In this first interview i am inviting Tamal anwar who is the admin of well-known ”The Best Money Making Blog From Bangladesh” called Blogkori.

In this interview he tells us about the relation between blogging and young age and his story about blogging success. You are amazed when you know he is also creating his mom website and just because of him his all family members are related for blogging.

#1. TO START OFF, CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR BLOG?

My name is Tamal Anwar and I’m the founder of BlogKori. I’m well-known on the internet for BlogKori blog and WordPress customizations. I help people how to build a profitable website/ blog from zero.

#2. WHAT GOT YOU STARTED IN BLOGGING AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE?

I was fond of business since I was a kid, I don’t like jobs where you don’t have the control over your work and have to follow orders from the boss.

I started off my carrier at the age of 15 and did projects, side businesses, start-ups and MLM’s. That time I was earning that much to cover my pocket-money.I learned how to create websites and e-commerce at 2004 and started to learn blogging at late 2007′s.

When I saw that it’s possible to make money with a free blog (blogspot) I got amazed and tried out blogging seriously. BlogKori is my 6th or 7th website.

I started at a young age for one reason: I want to be rich at my late 20′s and 30′s, so that I can enjoy my life.

#3. HOW DO PEOPLE REACT TO YOUR AGE ON YOUR BLOG?

I’m 21 now; I never hide my age online and I always wrote it on sites. I got surprised that people from 1st world countries don’t react at this; this is because they know what 15-18 year orders have done in the web world.

Now that I’m expanding my site on India, Bangladesh and Pakistan; they might react at my age, we’ll see.

#4. YOU ARE ALSO USING THESIS THEME. WHY?

I started to customize thesis theme long before I used on my website. I had used a couple of magazine themes on BlogKori but all them were messy. I decided to get a copy of thesis for my blog because it loads super faster and looks clean.

#5. DO YOU AGREE THAT THERE ARE LOT OF ADVANTAGE OF USING THESIS THEME?

Yeah of course, you can change sidebars, size, color, headers while keeping your site lite. You can customize thesis a millions of times and the new 1.6 version gives you easy option to change colors. And did I mentioned, it’s Super SEO friendly? Ideal for a website designers.

#6. ARE YOUR PARENTS AWARE OF YOUR BLOG? IF SO, WHAT DO THEY THINK OF IT AND WHAT IMPACT DO THEY HAVE ON IT?

My parents are aware of my online activities and they are proud of it. When you search your name on google and there’s your name and face found online, that’s a great achievement. Because of me, other members of the family are interested online.

My mom got a website for her work(I built it); my little sister is looking forward to blog by the next year; my friends are interested in starting their own websites.

At first it was a little silly to see a person sit and write on the computer for hours but when the milestones came up, they all got used to it and started to support me.

#7. WHAT IS YOUR ONE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE FOR THOSE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 WHO ARE LOOKING TO START THEIR OWN BLOG?

Under 18 means that you are not a citizen, you don’t have rights to vote and lack of facilities; but the one thing you own is your creativity. People don’t care about you and your thoughts at the world you are but internet is a different world.

Here people are valued by their ideas, creativity and work.

Your biggest weakness is your biggest strength. You are fortunate to be aware of this opportunity at this age, because you have more years to work and achieve. Just start it and there will be a result.
